Wyldwood Prison Ministry

D. Joy Young

The Wyldwood Baptist Church Prison Ministry works to help incarcerated men and women come to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and salvation.  This non-profit ministry survives by donations of postage and supplies.  Each week mailings of Bibles, 'Daily Bread' devotionals, salvation tracts and other encouraging materials are sent to men and women.  Other mailings include Christmas, birthday and sympathy cards.

Some inmates say that our cards and letters are the only mail they receive.  Inmates have written about their families and tell us that they need the salvation that only Jesus brings.  They need HOPE.

Jesus came to seek and save those who are without hope.  During His ministry on earth, Jesus spoke of our duties as believers to help those in prison:

Matthew 25:35-40  "For I was hungered and ye gave me meat; I was thirsty and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger and ye took me in; naked and ye clothed me.  I was in prison and ye came to me.  Then shall the righteous answered Him, saying, 'Lord, when saw we Thee an hungered, and fed Thee?  Or thirsty, and gave Thee drink?  When saw we Thee a stranger, and took Thee in?  Or naked and clothed Thee?  Or when saw we Thee sick or in prison, and came to Thee?'  And the King shall answer and say unto them, 'Verily, I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.' "  King James Bible

Please pray for our prisoners and email us to donate to this ministry.  Thank you.
